I’m in my third year of the Honors Psychology program and eventually, I hope to go to grad school for child clinical psych. Last year, I had the privilege of being the social coordinator on the WPA and it was really from that experience that made me want to be the prez of the WPA. I think the most memorable social event for me last year was the annual Wine & Cheese (which I could not have done without the help from the amazing social committee!). I love how the Wine & Cheese event combined so many people from the psych department, including profs, grad students, and undergrad students. I have personally gained so much from being a part of the psych program and I hope that by being president this year, I’ll be able to share my own experiences with you. Here’s to an awesome WPA year!

Having been on the WPA exec for the past two years, I'm excited to take on the challenge of Vice Prez this year. We have a great exec team put together and have fantastic ideas in the works, so I hope everyone will be excited to get involved! In the tradition of our past Vice Prez, I look forward to organizing our annual gift wrapping event around the holiday season. I'm also here to help out wherever needed, be it with events, questions or if you just want to stop by and chat about psych! Looking forward to seeing you all at the general meeting and on our committees!

I'm here to get everyone interested and out to the endless volunteer opportunities for those interested in Psychology at Western. Volunteering on campus and in the London community is a great time to explore various careers and opportunities in psychology while giving back at the same time. As well as volunteering you can also participate in numerous events to raise money for various causes. Last year's Christmas card fundraiser was a huge success in promoting student participation as well as raising funds for Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit of the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario. I look forward to encouraging and supporting all your volunteer prospects for this year.

I want to start by welcoming you to one of the greatest clubs on campus! I am a third year student in the Honors Specialization Psychology program with an enthusiastic interest in Social Psychology. Last year I was a member on the social committee, through which I helped organize events such as laser tag, our annual Wine and Cheese, and also an end of year party (all of which were huge successes). With the help of talentedexecutive members and a new social committee, I will be in charge of planning all of the social events for the 05/06 year!

I am a third year Honors Specialization Psychology student with an additional major in Social Justice and Peace Studies. I am really excited about being a part of the WPA executive this year! I think it is important to be connected to people that have similar interests, so whether you are majoring in psych or simply want to learn more about the field, the WPA is the place for you! A great opportunity to meet others with an interest in psychology is the annual Wine & Cheese. This event provides a casual atmosphere for undergraduate students, graduate students, and professors to meet and mingle...not to mention to enjoy a tasty variety of FREE wine and cheese. I can't wait to see you there!

Last year I had the privilege of being the first year rep for the WPA. My experience as first year rep was awesome. I got to know some really wonderful WPA members, and I enjoyed having the opportunity to get involved! If any of you first years are considering joining the WPA than I seriously suggest you run for first year rep or consider joining the social or volunteer committee because you will meet some amazing people- all who love psychology as much as you do! This year as VP External it is my goal to make sure that everyone from Western, Brescia, Kings, and Huron has the opportunity to get involved in our association. I hope to see you all soon!

I’m a third year Psychology student in the Bachelor of Science program. Having been a member of the social committee as well as a volunteer last year, I had the opportunity of meeting lots of people in my program while also getting hands on experience in my field. Not only did the volunteering experience lead to great connections, it also led to a summer job! I’m looking forward to getting the word out on everything the WPA has to offer, and ensuring that this year is our best ever.
