Hello all! I am beyond excited to be the WPA President for the 2009-2010 academic year. I'm a third-year psych major at Huron, doing my minor in Linguistics at main campus. I love to swing dance, condition rats, and eat pizza. I hope to get a chance to meet most of you throughout the year at our awesome events! Kabir Daljeet - Vice President

Hey everyone! my name is Kabir Daljeet and I am your 2009/2010 WPA vice president. I am responsible for assisting the other club executives in every way possible to ensure that the club runs smoothly as well as for organizing events through out the year. I'm a second year student currently doing a double major in honours psychology and socio-cultural anthropology. Joining this club was hands down the single best social and academic decision I have made since coming to Western. I was the first-year representative for the club last year and I can without a doubt say that this club is a great way to get to meet people in your program and learn about new and exciting opportunities that are relevant to you as a psychology student. I greatly look forward to meeting each and every one of you at our events this year.

Samara Perez - Volunteer Coordinator

Hi Everyone! My name is Samara Perez, and I am the volunteer coordinator. I am originally from Montreal, Quebec. I am a 4th year student, completing an honors specialization in psychology, BSc. I am currently working on my thesis project (an in-depth analysis of Texas’ hold’em Poker), under the supervision of Dr. Peter Hoaken. I enjoy travelling (spent the past summer in south east Asia), water-skiing and photography. I gave been a member of the WPA for 3 years and am excited to join the team. Erica Giammarco - Social Coordinator

Hi everyone. I’m Erica, from Niagara Falls, and currently in my 2nd year of an honours specialization in psychology. After my undergrad I plan to get my masters in clinical and/or social psychology, haven’t decided yet. Although I was a WPA member last year this is my first year on the exec committee. I’m very excited to be involved with all the events this year. If you ever have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Kris Bailey - VP Finance

Hey guys! Last year I graduated with an Honours Double Major in Biology and Psychology, and this year I'm back again taking more courses so that I can apply to more professional schools, and of course, act as your VP Finance for a second year in a row! I originally started at Western strictly in biology, but after second year I decided to explore my interest in psychology during a summer course, and I’ve loved it ever since. Last year, I completed a project with Dr. Lupker in which I studied visual word recognition, and it was pretty nifty stuff. If you want to know more about it, just ask! I also want to point out that joining the WPA was a great move on your part: the amount of information and sheer fun you can get out of this club is invaluable, so props to you! I look forward to the year ahead, and to getting to know you!

Erin Lowe - VP Internal Marketing

Hi Everyone! I am currently in my fourth year at Western, and I’m in the Psychology Honours Bachelors of Arts program. After graduation I hope to attend graduate school in counseling psychology. This is my second year on the WPA exec and I’ll be maintaining this website and sending all the members of the WPA e-mails updating everyone about opportunities and events that the WPA is offering.
