Hey everyone, thanks for coming out to our first general meeting. We had a great turnout, and some fun stuff to give away candy wise. Props to me for thinking Id was "ID" (confusing the Freudian concept with the identification). Go pictionary. :)

Anyway, in case you missed the meeting, here are some of the things we touched on during the meeting.

President - Chloe
Started with an introduction to a new year of WPA, then explained that we are looking for First Year Representative in the near future, email to follow

Vice President - Michelle
Some upcoming events:
Annual Christmas Gift Wrap in December - a great volunteer opportunity and excellent way to meet other WPA members. Most of all, gift wrapping is always fun!

Fundraiser Formal - tentatively scheduled for 2nd semester (Jan) with proceeds going to a charity organization. Details TBA.

Volunteer - Kim
See Volunteer page.

VP External - Laura
My role in the WPA exec: produce and distribute materials to promote club membership and events at both the affiliated colleges and main campus. There is need for a representative from King’s University College to help out with event promotions and other delegate affairs.

Speaker’s Series: professors in the Department of Psychology present on a particular area of research they study. We welcome suggestions about topics that could be discussed in the Series; these could include any theme related to Psychology, any current controversial issues in Psychology, or any topics connecting Psychology to other professions.

VP Internal - Andrew
I'm currently looking for people interested in learning about being VP Internal for next year. The position simply needs a bit of one-on-one training, and I'm sure anyone with an interest in computers or with a background in web design will be able to do it in their sleep. Three people expressed interest, but unfortunately, because I had to reformat my laptop, I lost the names of these people. I have since found two of the three people, but if you're interested, or are that third person (girl), make sure to give me a shout.
